In recent years, the rapid advancement of AI-integrated technologies has profoundly transformed daily life, enhancing convenience and connectivity. Simultaneously, governments and institutions worldwide are implementing policies to accelerate the transition toward a digitally empowered society. This era of digital transformation calls for stronger interdisciplinary collaboration, bridging technologies and the humanities, to address emerging challenges and unlock new opportunities.
With the theme “Interdisciplinary Collaboration in the Digital Transformation Era”, VANJ Conference 2025 will be held at Kyoto University, 20 December (Sat), 2025.
At the VANJ Conference 2025, we invite contributions to our hybrid sessions, covering all topics in science, technology, and society, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and digital transformation.
As a platform for research communication, the conference also welcomes student participation and work-in-progress presentations. Contributors are encouraged to recommend researchers from other disciplines to foster stimulating and cross-cutting discussions.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract length: approximately 300–400 words (1 page at maximum)
- Maximum length for award nomination: 2 pages
- Presentation type: Oral or Poster presentation

Awards and Publication
The Technical Program Committee will evaluate submissions and presentations for the following awards:
- Best Oral Presentation Award
- Best Poster Presentation Award
- Young Researcher Award
- Outstanding contributions will be invited to submit extended abstracts and recommended for publication in the Japanese Science and Technology Compendium (https://jst.vanj.jp/).
